Foreign voting in Czech elections: 27,500 registered, says Minister Lipavský

About 27,500 voters have registered to cast their ballots from abroad in October’s parliamentary elections. Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský (SPOLU) announced the figure on CNN Prima News on Sunday. The total includes both Czechs who will vote by mail for the first time and those planning to cast their ballots in person at embassies and consulates.

Lipavský noted the turnout is lower than the ministry originally expected, but pointed out that in Slovakia, where mail-in voting has worked for 20 years, participation has grown gradually with each election.
