Real wages in Czechia up 3.9% in first quarter
The average gross monthly salary in the Czech Republic reached CZK 46,924 in the first quarter of 2025, up 6.7% year-on-year. After adjusting for 2.7% inflation, real wages grew by 3.9%. Employees earned CZK 2,943 more than in the same period last year. The median wage, which better reflects typical earnings, rose to CZK 38,385. According to the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ), the slowest wage growth occurred in mining and energy supply sectors, although those industries still pay above average.
