OECD lowers Czech and global growth forecasts amid trade and geopolitical uncertainty

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has revised its forecast for Czech economic growth this year from 2.1 to 1.9 percent, and for next year from 2.5 to 2.2 percent. In its latest global outlook, the OECD also cut its projection for world economic growth in 2025 from 3.1 to 2.9 percent, citing trade tensions, tighter financial conditions, declining confidence, and increased political uncertainty. Similar growth of 2.9 percent is expected in 2026. Last year, the Czech economy expanded by just one percent.
