Adonxs fails to reach Eurovision final with Kiss Kiss Goodbye

Slovak singer ADONXS, representing Czechia in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, failed to make it to the final after Thursday’s second semifinal in Basel. His energetic performance of Kiss Kiss Goodbye did not secure enough public votes to place him among the top ten of the sixteen competing acts. The final, taking place on Saturday, will feature 26 contestants, including entries from Lithuania, Israel, Armenia, and others. Automatically qualified are the so-called “Big Five” countries — Germany, the UK, Spain, France, and Italy — and host nation Switzerland. This year’s favorite is the Swedish entry KAJ, singing joyfully about sauna culture.
