Parliamentry election campaign officially starts

The Czech parliamentary election will take place on October 3 and 4, the latest possible date allowed by a recent constitutional amendment. The announcement was published in the Collection of Laws, marking the official start of the campaign period, even though parties and political movements already started putting up billboards and posters for their candidates. From now on, they must now adhere to a 90-million-crown spending limit and open transparent campaign accounts within five days. The Ministry of the Interior has launched a technical task force to enhance cybersecurity and ensure a safe election process. It also plans a public information campaign to counter rising mistrust, with over half of Czechs concerned about manipulation or fraud.
