Opposition ANO Party leads Czech election poll

Opposition ANO Party would win parliamentary elections if held now, polling at 31.5 percent despite a slight decline, according to the latest STEM survey for CNN Prima News. The ruling coalition Together (Spolu) trails with 19.8 percent. Freedom and Direct Democracy strengthened slightly to 12.6 percent, securing third place ahead of the weakening Mayors and independents at 9.7 percent. Also crossing the five-percent threshold are the Pirates and the new group Stačilo!. Motoristé sobě fell short at 4.8 percent. ANO would benefit most from fewer parties in Parliament, potentially holding 80 seats and achieving a majority with the right wing Freedom and Direct Democracy.
