Plzeň's footballers suffered a 1:2 home defeat to Lazio in the Europa League semi-final opener on Thursday, despite having a two-man advantage. The Czech champions conceded a goal in the eighteenth minute but equalized shortly after halftime through Rafiu Durosinmi. Despite being down to nine men, the visitors scored the decisive goal deep into stoppage time. The second leg takes place next week in Rome.
