Firefighters continue to pump out damaged tankers

Firefighters will continue extracting toxic benzene from the damaged tankers of a freight train that crashed and caught fire on Friday near Hustopečí nad Bečvou in the Přerov region. The fire has not yet been fully extinguished, Radek Buryánek, spokesperson for the regional fire brigade, informed the Czech News Agency this morning.

The operation to pump out the tankers began on Saturday, with firefighters from the Railways Administration removing 145,000 liters of the chemical from three tankers.
