Some 70,000 people protest in Prague against Czech government

Some 70,000 people gathered on Prague Wenceslas Square on Saturday to protest against the Czech government and its foreign and economic policies.

The rally, called "Czechia First", was organised by several far-right and fringe political groups, including the Communist Party and the Freedom and Direct Democracy Party.

The organizers called for the resignation of the ruling coalition, led by Prime Minister Petr Fiala, and demanded military neutrality as well as ensuring of direct contracts with gas suppliers, including Russia.

According to Prime Minister Petr Fiala, the protest was called by pro-Russian forces that are against the interests of the Czech Republic.
