Czechia to donate CZK 3.2 million to Ukraine for purchasing ballistic goggles for police
The Czech Republic will donate CZK 3.2 million to Ukraine for the country to purchase ballistic goggles for its police force, according to a memorandum signed by Interior Minister Vít Rakušan and Ukraine’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic Yevhen Perebiinis in Prague on Monday. The gift was approved by the Czech government last month.
Mr Rakušan said that the Czech Republic could also donate its old police cars to Ukraine in the future, as it plans to update its own fleet with newer Skoda Scala and Kodiaq models later this year. He also highlighted that the Ukrainian Police are short of equipment, because they have been providing some of their material to Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
