Summer could see Prague host music event in support of Ukraine’s European aspirations

Czech Culture Minister Martin Baxa and Ukrainian Ambassador Yevhen Perebiinis have discussed plans for a music event in support of Ukraine’s European aspirations that could take place in Prague sometime this summer, the Culture Ministry’s Press Office announced on Friday. Mr Baxa said that the project would show that the Czech Republic considers Ukraine to be a part of Europe.

Ukraine’s government has repeatedly stated that it hopes to become a member of the European Union and is currently in negotiations with the EU about receiving candidate status.
