State Health Institute reports another suspected case of monkeypox
The State Health Institute has reported another suspected case of monkeypox in the Czech Republic. The institute confirmed the first case of monkeypox in the county on Tuesday, and is now analyzing the samples of people who came into close contact with the infected person. The person who tested positive appears to have contracted the infection at a music festival in Belgium and is now in isolation in Prague’s Central Military Hospital.
Eleven EU member states have so far reported cases of monkeypox, among them neighbouring Germany and Austria.
