Czech Republic introduces “Bavarian” model of Covid restrictions
The Czech Republic on Monday introduced the so-called “Bavarian” model of Covid restrictions.
Unvaccinated poeple can no longer go to restaurants, hairdressers and beauty salons, gyms, cinemas, theatres or sporting events. They may not consume food in shopping malls or at outdoor stands in open-air markets.
Antigen or PCR tests no longer serve as a “Covid pass” to any events, including weddings or funerals. Vaccine certificates or proof of having recovered from the virus are the only accepted documents.
Companies and institutions have been ordered to reintroduce testing of unvaccinated employees at least once a week and introduce home office wherever possible. Blanket-testing in schools will also continue on a weekly basis.
