Government meets to finalize details of latest anti-Covid measures
The outgoing Czech government met on Friday to finalize the details of a new set of restrictions against Covid-19 amid a fresh surge of tens of thousands of infections. Cabinet ministers approved nursing money for parents who have to stay at home to look after infected children and a bonus for people in quarantine. The cabinet is also debating compensation for those hit by the restrictions .
As of Monday, November 22, only those who are fully vaccinated or have had coronavirus in the past six months may enter restaurants, use services, or attend cultural or sporting events.
The government will also reintroduce compulsory testing at workplaces for unvaccinated employees and continue blanket testing at schools. It is further considering making testing at the workplace compulsory for vaccinated people over 60 and has urged all companies to allow employees to work from home if possible and not hold large events.
