New restrictions come into force as Covid numbers shoot up
New measures take effect across the Czech Republic on Monday in response to the acceleration of the coronavirus epidemic. As of the start of this week, unvaccinated hospital and other care facility workers are obliged to get tested regularly once a week. From November 15, it is also compulsory for university students to wear respirators in teaching rooms exceeding 50 people in size.
Foreigners who are long-term legal residents in the Czech Republic will have their COVID-19 vaccines paid for from the budget of the Ministry of Health. The only thing that they have to pay for is the application of the vaccine itself.Further measures aimed at curbing the spread of the epidemic will be discussed on Monday.
