Covid-19: reproduction number drops to 1.2
Some 126 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the Czech Republic on Monday, according to the Ministry of Health data. The ctk agency notes that Monday was a public holiday in the Czech Republic, which means that fewer tests were carried out on that day.
Over the past week, the Czech Republic registered an average of nine Covid-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which is the highest seven-day incidence ratio since mid-June.
The reproduction number – the average number of people infected by one person with the virus – dropped to 1.2, which still signifies accelerated spread of the virus.
