Covid death toll over 26,000, March deadliest month so far

The number of people who have died of Covid-19 in the Czech Republic has now reached 26,036. March has seen 5,232 deaths so far, the highest toll for any month since the pandemic began.

However, according to Ministry of Health data, the number of new infections continues to decline, with 1,722 registered on Sunday, the lowest for that day of the week since December 6.
