Covid risk score remains at 70 but reproduction number again grows
The Czech Republic’s Covid-19 risk index stood at 70 points out of 100 on Tuesday morning, meaning that the “score” in the tiered system determining restrictions has been in the level four bracket for six days in succession. However, the reproduction number again grew, climbing to 0.76.
Level five measures have been in place since late December, including the closure of restaurants and hotels, maximum gatherings of two and a 9 pm curfew.
Government ministers have said that there is unlikely to be an easing to level four restrictions unless the situation improves considerably as regards Covid hospitalisations.
