Number of Covid deaths in Czech Republic rises to 522

The number of deaths with Covid-19 in the Czech Republic has risen to 522 from the 503 reported on Monday morning, according to official Ministry of Health data issued on Tuesday. Some 1,476 new cases of the virus were recorded on Monday, bringing the total number of active cases to just under 25,000.

The number of people hospitalised with the coronavirus stands at 494 (up from the 230 seen 12 days earlier), with 101 in a serious condition.
