Covid infection rate continues to rise

There were 3,786 new confirmed cases of covid-19 registered in Czechia on Monday. This is the highest number of new cases recorded in a single day since mid-April and an increase of about 500 from the same day a week ago.

However, the number of hospitalised patients has decreased in a week-on-week comparison. There were 806 people in hospital with the virus on Monday, down from 863 on the same day last week.
