    A Czech volunteer fighting on the Ukrainian side has gone missing, the organisation Memorial - International Legion Defense of Ukraine wrote on Facebook on Sunday. The Czech fighter was last seen by his colleagues near the towns of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk in the Donbas.

    Another Czech volunteer fighting for Ukraine was killed last week, while a Czech volunteer medic in the Donbas region has been seriously injured.

    Air traffic at Prague's Václav Havel airport will be disrupted until Tuesday due to a two-day warning strike that began on Sunday at Munich airport, Germany's second largest.

    According to the DPA agency, a total of 1,500 flights and 200,000 passengers will be affected during the two-day strike, including 25 flights at Prague airport.

    German unions have announced a 24-hour nationwide transport strike for Monday due to a growing dispute over pay and working conditions that aims to bring the country’s transportation system to a standstill.

    Czechia’s Aneta Brabcová won the silver medal in the women’s 50 metre rifle three positions at the ISSF Shooting World Cup in Bhopal, India. It is the first world cup podium finish for the 30-year-old Czech and the only medal for the Czech team.

    The international conference Radiodays Europe 2023 gets underway Prague this Sunday. It is the largest meeting of radio, podcast and audio production professionals from all over Europe.

    Traditional participants include representatives from public service media companies and commercial radios, as well as independent audio content creators from all around the world.

    A cooperation agreement between Czech Radio and the Ukrainian public broadcaster UA:PBC will also be signed during the three-day event, which is co-organised by Czech Radio.

    Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala has welcome Friday's agreement between Germany and the European Commission in their dispute over the future of cars with combustion engines. According to Mr. Fiala, it is one of the achievements of the Czech EU Presidency. He also said it gave Czechia a better starting point for the negotiations on the proposed Euro 7 standard.

    The agreement between Germany and European Commission, which was reached on Friday, allows the registration of new vehicles with combustion engines even after 2035 provided they use climate-neutral fuel only.

    Czechia, along with the rest of the European Union, switched to summer time, or daylight saving time, on Sunday, when clocks went forward by one hour at 2 a.m.

    Czech Railways have warned passengers that the scheduled arrival and departure of some express trains will be delayed by the time shift.

    Summer time will end on Sunday, October 29, when the clocks go back.

    The number of charging stations for electric cars in Czechia increased by more than 30 percent last year to 1,364. According to the data of the Ministry of Industry and Trade there are currently around 15,000 electric cars registered in the country, and another tens of thousands of hybrids.

    The infrastructure for electric vehicles is expected to grow further in the future. Transport Minister Martin Kupka recently announced that Czechia will spend around CZK six billion on the development of charging stations along motorways and in cities in the coming years.

    Thousands of volunteers around Czechia are taking part in a spring edition of the rubbish clearance this weekend, organised by Czech Union for Nature Conservation. More than 273 such operations are taking place all around the country.

    The rubbish clearance drives are part of the international campaign Clean Up the World and have been taking place in Czechia since 1993.
