New cases of COVID-19 on Sunday at their lowest since mid-September
Sunday saw 976 people test positive for COVID-19 in the Czech Republic. This is the first time that the number has fallen below 1,000 since September 20. It is also less than half the number recorded on Sunday a week ago.
Hospitalisations also dropped to 5,070, the lowest number recorded since December. Meanwhile, 1,157 coronavirus patients were in intensive care units.
