Friday’s coronavirus infections at their lowest since October

A total of 2,117 people tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday, the lowest number since October 15 last year. Hospitalisations have fallen below 1,000, according to data published by the Ministry of Health. 47 patients are currently in intensive care units.

However, the incidence number - the average number of cases detected over the past seven days per 100,000 people, has increased to an average of 131 infections.

The coronavirus epidemic has been receding in the Czech Republic since February.
