Germany to put Czech Republic in “red” coronavirus category
Germany is likely to place the Czech Republic on the list of states which pose a high risk of COVID-19 infection, Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček told journalists on Tuesday. Czechs travelling to Germany will be required to present a negative Covid-19 test or go into quarantine.
Mr Petříček said the Czech Republic was currently negotiating exceptions, that would include for example cross-border job commuters.
Germany has already placed Prague and the Central Bohemian region, which are one of the main hotspots of Covid19, on its red list of risky travel destinations.
