Exhibition of art by twin sisters Jitka and Květa Válová opens in GASK

An exhibition presenting the life’s work of the twin sisters Květa and Jitka Válová, got underway in Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region in Kutná Hora on Sunday.

Entitled A Path Destined by Faith, it presents numerous works on loan from other galleries, as well as works from both sisters’ estates that were donated to the GASK collection in 2021, marking the centenary of the sisters’ birth.

Květa and Jitka Válová are considered one of the most distinctive Czech artists of their generation. In 2019, they were posthumously awarded the title Dames of Czech Culture.
