Czechia ranks second in Europe for cyberattacks on businesses
Companies in Czechia faced the second-highest number of cyberattacks in Europe in May, according to cybersecurity firm Check Point. Businesses were targeted by an average of 2,568 attacks per week, behind only Russia with 3,203. Portugal ranked third. While the European average fell slightly to 1,737 weekly attacks, experts warned that cybercriminals are increasingly using more targeted and dangerous methods, including ransomware. Globally, organizations experienced an average of 2,055 attacks per week. Schools and universities remained the most frequently targeted sector, followed by public administration and telecommunications.
