Cybersecurity incidents slightly up again in April, NÚKIB reports

The number of cybersecurity incidents in Czechia rose slightly in April, according to the National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NÚKIB). The agency recorded 20 incidents—the highest monthly number this year so far. Most were classified as less significant, but two were marked as significant. The most frequent issue was loss of availability, often due to system outages, followed by ransomware attacks, which dominated the information security category. No incidents were labeled as highly significant, unlike in March, when ransomware targeted fire rescue systems in two regions.
