Czechia has second highest Covid-19 infection rate in EU
The Czech Republic has the second-highest incidence of coronavirus infections in the EU after Portugal, ČTK reports.
According to current data, over the past 14 days there were 1,190 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Portugal, 915 in the Czech Republic and 843 cases in Spain.
The death rate from Covid-19 in the Czech Republic is 177 per million inhabitants, the third highest in the EU, after Portugal (with 334) and Slovakia (with 221).
