"I am the strange lady who goes around picking mushrooms," says Karina about keeping her identity after living decades in Britain.

Karina Giffard grew up in Prague, studied in Olomouc and found home and started family in Britain. She now splits her time between Czechia and the UK. As a student of Russina and English, she was on a study trip to the USSR, when the Warsaw Pact countries invaded Czechoslovakia.
