Czech hockey team to face Sweden in World Championship quarterfinal

The Czech national hockey team will face Sweden in the quarterfinals of the Ice Hockey World Championship, a rematch of last year's semifinals in Prague, where the Czechs won 7–3. This time, Sweden will be playing on home ground, with Thursday’s game taking place in Stockholm.

Coach Radim Rulík’s team is traveling to the Swedish capital today after completing the group stage in Herning. Despite a strong start with six straight wins, the defending champions lost to the US on Tuesday, dropping to third place in Group B and losing the right to stay in Herning.
