Czech culture takes over London with Made in Prague festival
London is hosting the 29th Made in Prague festival, organised by the Czech Centre London, presenting the best of Czech culture throughout November. The programme includes film premieres, concerts, exhibitions, and theatre performances at top venues. A highlight is the Royal Opera House’s first-ever staging of Leoš Janáček’s The Makropulos Affair, conducted by Jakub Hrůša. Other events feature violinist Pavel Šporcl, young Czech pianists, and film premieres of films "Waves" by Jiří Mádl and "Amerikána" by Viktor Tauš and other new Czech cinematographers works. The festival celebrates Czech creativity and cultural dialogue between the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom.
