Covid cases still rising
Laboratories in the Czech Republic on Monday registered 804 new cases of Covid-19, which is 135 more than on the same day a week ago. The number of people hospitalized with Covid rose by 28 to 255. The Czech Republic is experiencing a slow but steady rise in cases, but the health authorities are hoping that the combination of inoculation and gained immunity as a result of undergoing Covid will hold the epidemic in check. They say they do not plan to take restrictive measures in the course of the next fortnight. Altogether 5.9 million Czechs are now fully vaccinated and booster vaccines are being administered to people in high-risk groups.
