Covid-19: Czechia third most affected in region
The Czech Republic has the third highest per capita rate of new Covid-19 cases in the region, with an average of 23 cases per 100,000 inhabitants registered over the past two weeks, the Czech News Agency reported on Saturday.
The worst situation is in Austria, with a 14-day incidence ratio of 70 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by Germany with 39 cases. The most favourable situation is currently in Poland, with an average 5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants reported over the past two weeks.
Some 147 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the Czech Republic on Friday, ten more than on the same last past week, according to the Ministry of Health data. The reproduction number slightly increased to 0.93.
