Covid-19: 5,515 new cases on Wednesday, drop continues
There were 5,515 new cases of Covid-19 contamination in the Czech Republic detected on Wednesday, about 3,405 fewer than a week ago. Currently, 100,970 people in the country have Covid-19, most showing minor symptoms.
To date, 6,740 patients have died since the start of the epidemic, the majority after the second wave hit this autumn, according to Ministry of Health data.
The new anti-epidemic system PES shows the national risk index has fallen to 62 on a scale of 100. Minister of Health Jan Blatný has said that when it fell below 70, he would propose some restrictive measures be relaxed as of next Monday (23 November).
