Thursday’s Covid case tally lowest for working day since Feb 8
On Thursday, 7,853 new cases of Covid-19 contamination were detected in the Czech Republic, the lowest figure for a working day since February 8, and about a quarter fewer cases than a week ago.
Meanwhile, the number of vaccinations administered has been declining all week. On Thursday, 40,770 people were inoculated, a fifth less than a week ago.
A majority of the EU member states face shortages due to a drop in deliveries, but Minister of Health Jan Blatný says the Czech Republic still has about 300,000 more vaccine doses than it has managed to administer (1.5 million to date).
