Yurt hopes to raise money for victims of Mongolian winter
A rather unique construction project took place in Prague on Tuesday when a Mongolian yurt, or tent, was built in front of a museum in the Old Town. Sounds a bit strange? Well, Peter Smith was there.
The yurt-building project was an action jointly-organised by the Society of the Friends of Mongolia and the Association of Nomads. The groups hope to raise awareness of the plight of many Mongolese people, whose lives have been crippled by the extremely cold temperatures in their country earlier this year.
