The Velvet Divorce: 30 years
The former state of Czechoslovakia peacefully split into two countries, the Czech and Slovak Republics, on December 31, 1992. Thirty years on from the so-called "Velvet Divorce", we present a special five-part series looking at how the two countries view each other today.
Although Czechs and Slovaks broke up 30 years ago, culturally they remain very close and nowhere is this more evident than in the sphere of music.
Journalists from Radio Prague Int. and Radio Slovakia Int. get together to talk about the break-up of Czechoslovakia and how it has affected people-to-people relations.
