Vaclík to win 50th cap in Switzerland game

Goalkeeper Tomáš Vaclík is due to make his 50th appearance for the Czech national football team in a Nations League Group A game against Switzerland on Thursday evening. Vaclík, who is 33, said he appreciated reaching that milestone as he had played for some years at the same time as Czech caps record holder Petr Čech, which had severely restricted his chances of appearing.

After facing Switzerland the Czechs will welcome Spain to Prague on Sunday. Next Thursday they take on Portugal away, followed by a match in Spain four days later.
