Ukraine thanks Czechs for funding Black Hawk helicopter

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine thanked the more than 20,000 Czechs who raised over 72 million crowns to purchase a Black Hawk UH-60 helicopter for the Ukrainian army through the "Gift for Putin" initiative. Kyrylo Budanov, head the military intelligence service of the Ukrainian government, expressed gratitude for Czech support throughout the war with Russia, calling the fundraiser "an unprecedented event."

The "Gift for Putin" campaign, which ironically targets Russian President Vladimir Putin, also raises funds for drones, anti-tank missiles, and demining equipment. Previously, the initiative helped fund an RM-70 rocket launcher and a T-72 Avenger tank for Ukraine’s defense.
