Two dead in Alzheimer's Centre blaze
Two people have died in a fire at an Alzheimer's care home in Roztoky near Prague, the fire rescue service announced on Twitter on Thursday morning. A spokesperson for the firefighters said that both people were clients of the facility. Another 55 people were injured and two are in critical condition.
The fire broke out on Wednesday evening. At around 4am on Thursday morning, firefighters managed to get the blaze under control. According to a very rough preliminary estimate, the fire caused about CZK 70 million of damage. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
