Turek cancels meeting with President due to health issues

The Office of the President announced on Sunday that the Motorists’ nominee for Environment Minister, Filip Turek, will not attend Monday’s meeting with President Petr Pavel due to health issues. The chairman of the Motorists, Petr Macinka, told CNN Prima News that Turek is suffering from spinal injury (slipped disc).

As a result, on Monday President Pavel will receive only two of the original three ministerial candidates at the Prague Castle: Oto Klempíř, the candidate for Minister of Culture, and Boris Šťastný, the nominee for Minister of Sport. Both candidates were nominated by the Motorists.
