Tuesday new Covid cases 50 percent down on previous week

Some 14,307 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the Czech Republic on Tuesday. The figure was around 50 percent lower than that registered the same day last week. Repeat infections, at 2,750, fell at a similar rate. Test numbers have also dropped.

There were 3,300 people in hospital with the coronavirus on Tuesday. A week earlier 4,100 Covid patients were receiving specialist care.
