Three-quarters of Czechs feel stressed by their jobs, and half say work affects their personal lives

Nearly three-quarters of Czechs experience stress because of their jobs, and about half say their work interferes with their private lives, according to a survey by the STEM research agency. The majority of respondents also said they feel exhausted by work at least occasionally. A total of 72 percent of survey participants consider their jobs stressful. Seventy-six percent of Czechs feel exhausted from work, with more than a third saying they experience this constantly or frequently. A combined 49 percent of respondents said that their work demands disrupt their personal lives at least sometimes.

According to the survey authors, the conflict between work and personal life is felt particularly strongly by younger people. Among those aged 18 to 29, nearly two-thirds said their jobs interfere with their private lives at least occasionally. Dissatisfaction in this area is also more common among people who have children.
