Three Czechs killed in boat collision off Croatia
At least three Czech citizens were killed and another remains missing after a catamaran collided with a sailing yacht off the Croatian city of Split, Czech officials said. The yacht, carrying eight Czech nationals under the French flag, sank after the collision with a passenger catamaran carrying 125 people. Four Czech survivors were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Czech consul in Zagreb. The accident occurred in the strait between the islands of Brač and Šolta. Croatian authorities have launched a search for the missing person and are investigating the cause of the collision, which remains unclear.
