Thousands of people expected to attend folklore festival in Domažlice
Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to attend the Chodsko Folklore Festival in Domažlice this weekend (August 8–10), one of the Czech Republic’s oldest and most prominent folklore events. Around 500 performers are set to participate, offering a rich program for fans of Czech and Moravian folklore, folk music, and brass bands. A highlight of the festivities will be a tribute to Antonín Konrády, the legendary bagpiper, folk singer, and storyteller. A traditional open-air mass will be celebrated on Saturday on Vavřineček Hill overlooking the town.
