Survey: 21 kilometres of new motorway to open in Czechia this year

A total of 21.2 kilometres of new motorways and 14.2 kilometres of first-class roads will opened in Czechia this year, according to a survey by the company CEEC Research, citing data from the Ministry of Transport.

This is about twice less than last year, when the state opened 46.5 kilometres of new motorways and about 23 kilometres of first-class roads.

At  present construction work is being carried out on 247 kilometres of motorway and first class roads.  Next year, a further 40 kilometres of motorways are set to be constructed.
