Střížkov, Prosek, Letňany: last Prague metro C stations opened 15 years ago

Střížkov

The 4.6-kilometre-long extension of metro’s line C from Ládví to Letňany opened on May 2008 and made travelling between the city centre and the housing estates on the outskirts much easier.

The construction of the three metro stations was launched in May 2004 and its final cost amounted to15 billion crowns. The stations were designed by three different architects, who gave each of them its own, distinctive look.

After the extension, the C line now measures approximately 22.5 kilometres and has twenty stations. The journey from one terminus to the other takes around 35 minutes.
