State attorney accused of slow response to new info in Babiš fraud case

Supervising state attorney Jaroslav Šaroch erred by not responding immediately to information about a fraud case involving Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, the supreme state attorney said on Thursday.

In a statement, Lenka Bradáčová said Mr. Šaroch had failed to react to new information concerning the possible questioning of witnesses in the Stork’s Nest case, where Mr. Babiš is accusing of unlawfully acquiring CZK 50 million in EU subsidies.

This had caused delays in the case, Ms. Bradáčová said.
