Stanley Cup playoffs: Neuwirth, Flyers, lose against Pittsburgh
Hockey's Pittsburgh Penguins made it a miserable night for opponents the Philadelphia Flyers and in particular goalie Michal Neuwirth who probably wishes he could have a do-over.
The Czech stopped 20 shots by the Pens but allowed seven goals in a game which finished 8-5 in favour of the defending Stanley Cup champions. The win means the Penguins move forward to the second round. The series tally was 4-2.
The Penguins are aiming to be the first NHL team since Al Arbour's New York Islanders in the early 1980s to win the Stanley Cup three times in a row.
