Yes time for the sports news, and we start with football. Prague's Zizkov district has more pubs per square mile than any other part of the city, and I'm willing to bet every one of them was packed to the rafters last night after local heroes Viktoria Zizkov beat rival Prague team Bohemians 2:0. The result leaves Zizkov and Bohemians in joint first place at the top of the Gambrinus League with 9 points - goal difference nudging them ahead of Slavia Prague, Banik Ostrava and Slovan Liberec. And the full results of the weekend's first division matches are:

Pribram - Blsany 3:1
Olomouc - Synot 1:1
Viktoria Zizkov - Bohemians 2:0

... and Slavia's rivals Sparta play Opava on Monday. Looking abroad now and the Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky continued to prove his worth on Saturday with a classy fourth-minute goal for Germany's Borussia Dortmund, in their Bundesliga match against Hansa Rostock. Rosicky then took a superb corner to set up a goal for Sunday Oliseh in the 13th minute - and it stayed 2:0 until the end, Rosicky helping league leaders Borussia keep their clean sheet. Meanwhile it was more bad luck for Liverpool striker Patrik Berger: he's on his way to the United States for treatment on a knee injury, and will in all probability miss out on Friday's Supercup match. Berger's Czech team-mate Vladimir Smicer is also injured, he too will miss out on Friday's match.
Finally a bit of ice hockey news; NHL player Jiri Dopita has ended the long reign of Jaromir Jagr and Dominik Hasek as kings of Czech hockey, after winning this year's Golden Hockey Stick award. Dopita left Karlovy Vary's Hotel Pupp in true royal style - by horse-drawn carriage with his wife and son. Dopita told reporters the prize was a surprise and a great honour, but said the best memories still came from the Czechs' 1998 Olympic victory in Nagano.
